Food of War embarked on the task of rehabilitating community areas in the Santa Fe neighbourhood in Bogota through recreational and gastronomic activities.
Artist Omar Castaneda joined forces with Carlos Amaya, a cultural manager, to create healthy socialisation spaces in this depressed area of the city in 2020. A community garden was created, which supplied herbs to a cart of hot drinks including various teas and infusions. Areas for street games such as hopscotch were also marked out, and spaces were used to temporarily exhibit drawings by the residents themselves.
