BRAIDING OUR STORIES

During the art week in Palma, Mallorca 2023, a collective of African immigrant women collaborated with Food of War to stage a public performance. They braided their hair in an unbroken line along an iconic street in the city, all the while sharing their traditional dishes and narrating their migration journeys.
