Towards the event's conclusion, Craft-Stanley held a circular mirror with a hole at mouth level, inviting audience members to feed her. As they participated, attendees witnessed their reflection in someone else's mouth, fostering a sense of connection with the artist and prompting contemplation on issues within an unequal society. This performance, highlighting the pervasive impact of hunger and food distribution challenges, resonated deeply with viewers.
This compelling piece saw a second iteration at Saatchi Gallery's "The Forbidden Journey" exhibition in 2022, London. Here, Craft-Stanley was joined by five performers who engaged in the same action, albeit with a choreography, adorned in black costumes, and speaking various languages.
