Food of War Launch - London 2015
In one of East London's most dynamic art spaces, BSMT Space, the collective embarked on its journey. Showcasing the works of Omar Castañeda and Quintina Valero, the exhibition delved into conflicts ranging from the tensions between Russia and Ukraine to the Mafia wars in Italy, and even the Spanish Civil War.
The opening night was a memorable affair, featuring a captivating performance by Hernan Barros, where the audience participated by consuming the manifesto. Adding to the ambiance, the esteemed artists Gilbert and George bestowed their spiritual blessing, marking the beginning of Food of War's impactful presence in the art world.
