Food of War’s final exhibition of 2023. The Forbidden Fruit: Object of Desire used the image of the pomegranate as the main visual connection between artworks, symbolising the forbidden, the unspoken, the tempting.
Photography, video and moving image installations by artists Andreina Fuentes Angarita, Alex de la Croix, Carlos Gámez de Francisco, Diana Blok, Francis Mora, Gabriela Amaya Cruz (AKA Lady Paraiso), Haus of Sun, Hernan Barros, Mr Angarita, Omar Costaneda, and Vallerie Haus questioned the social, gender and power dynamics intrinsic to food.
